An Aggressive Facelift and Enhanced Technology

At the 2023 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Cadillac took center stage to reveal the refreshed 2025 CT5 sedan, showcasing a host of updates aimed at elevating both its style and technology.

Bold New Exterior

The most noticeable changes occur at the front of the CT5. Its grille has undergone a significant expansion and is now accompanied by a revised front fascia. The standard grille flaunts a glossy black finish adorned with chrome accents. Meanwhile, the Sport model boasts a menacing gloss black mesh design that extends to the lower portion of the grille. The Cadillac CT5's iconic vertical LED signature lighting has been restyled and extended, complemented by redesigned stacked LED headlights. The rear of the vehicle has also seen some improvements, primarily in the lighting department. To further enhance its visual appeal, two new paint finishes, Deep Space Metallic and Typhoon Metallic, are introduced for 2025.

A Futuristic and Driver-Centric Interior

Step inside the 2025 CT5, and you'll find a driver-centric cockpit that Cadillac's Chief Designer, Alex MacDonald, proudly dubs as "the most driver-centric cockpit we've done." The centerpiece of this futuristic interior is a curved 33-inch display, angled towards the driver, serving as both the infotainment hub and instrument panel. This 9K high-definition LED screen incorporates touchscreen functionality on the right side, traditionally reserved for infotainment, as well as to the left of the steering wheel. It integrates Google Built-In technologies, including Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The 2025 CT5 is not just about looks; it's brimming with advanced tech features. It introduces a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot option for improved connectivity and comes with Amazon Alexa Built-In. Safety and driver-assistance technologies are also elevated, with standard blind-spot steering assist, intersection automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist, and an available road sign recognition system. For those seeking advanced driving assistance, Super Cruise is available, now featuring smoother transitions between hands-off and hands-on driving.

Unchanged Powertrains

Under the hood, the CT5 retains its powertrain options. The lineup includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine generating 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as well as a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that pumps out 335 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. The CT5 is offered in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, with selectable drive modes including Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, and the customizable MyMode.

What's Next?

While specifics regarding trim levels and pricing are yet to be disclosed, production of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 is scheduled to commence in Lansing, Michigan, during the spring of 2024. As for high-performance variants like the V or Blackwing, Cadillac Global Vice President John Roth tantalizingly hints that there's "lots of good stuff to talk about in the future."
